On Saturday, September 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a fundraiser at Flint Hills Community Health Center, 420 W. 15th Ave. This will be an opportunity for everyone to shop with local vendors and help others in our community at the same time.
A percentage of the sales and the booth cost per exhibitor will go to the Eileen Greischar Fund. This in turn will help patients receive much needed medications. The first fundraiser in 2010 helped a family of three children obtain antibiotics they could otherwise not afford.
Greischar was a beloved public health nurse. She had the vision to bring Family Planning to the Lyon County Health Department. Greischar also started the Primary Care Clinic. In honor of her legacy we are raising funds to help those in our community.
