July 4th weekend at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve will feature special natural and cultural activites for the whole family! Events start on the 2nd including a scheduled abbreviated and stirring reading of the Declaration of Independence. Sunday the 3rd and Monday the 4th there will be 90 minute prairie bus tours. Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is located two miles north of Strong City on the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway, Highway 177. For more information, visit www.nps.gov/tapr.
