The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve has an entire weekend of activites planned. On Saturday, May 28th from 9-11:30am, children will have the opportunity to experience life on a working ranch doing chores such as gathering eggs, feeding chickens, milking goats, and cleaning barn stalls. Bring your fishing pole on Sunday, May 29th from 1-3pm for children's fishing day. Fly a kite on Monday, May 30th for children's kite day. Bring your own or make one at the preserve. Many opportunities to experience the prairie are available. All programs and activities are free of charge.
